The movie combines documentary and fiction narrative to picture two weeks of daily life in Frankfurt in 1974. The footage captures everything from Carnival celebrations in February to the demolition of occupied homes by the authorities, from political demonstrations to police raids. The events interweave with the stories of two women: one who sleeps with many men and robs them, and a spy from the Eastern Bloc who is trying to “explore the reality of the situation in Western Germany“.
