The lead character of the film is a robot called WALL-E, which, in a distant future, is the only inhabitant of the planet Earth. Due to excessive pollution and the continual accumulation of waste, the planet was abandoned by human beings. WALL-E’s task is to clean the planet up, a task he has been diligently working on already for 700 years. Oddly, WALL-E is able to experience emotions: as he cleans, he picks up different objects and investigates them, as though piqued by human curiosity. One day a high-tech robot called EVE arrives from space. WALL-E falls in love with EVE and the couple enjoys a love story that will alter their destinies and that of humanity.
